|Professor Elias Toubi
Prof. Toubi, MD, is the General Manager of the Italian Hospital in Haifa, Director of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Department at Bnai-Zion Medical center, and full professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion.
Elias completed his medical education and graduated from the 1st Medical Institute of Leningrad, Russia in 1975. He received his license in Internal Medicine at the Bnai Zion Medical Center in 1982. He subsequently gained his Allergy and Clinical Immunology license in Tel Aviv in 1986. In 1994 he spent a one-year fellowship (clinical research in systemic lupus erythematosus) at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, UK. Later in 1998–9 he spent a second fellowship at the HSS (Hospital for Special Surgery) at Cornell, NY, USA. Elias is a member of the editorial board of many journals, including Autoimmunity Reviews, International Archives of Allergy & Immunology, Israel Medical Association Journal, Autoimmunity Highlights. He is also a member of international allergy associations such as the GA2LEN board, and served as President of the Israeli Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
